Welcome to the updated site for the Friends of the Sunnyvale Library.
Who are the Friends?
We’re the all volunteer organization that supports the Library. Our mission statement reads, “Our goal is maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries; to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs, and to stimulate gifts of books, magazines, desirable collections, endowments, and bequests, and to promote literacy and education within the city of Sunnyvale and surrounding communities.
That’s a lot to read.
Simply put, we run the bi-monthly book sales, an ongoing sale in the Library lobby, and online sales on Amazon and on Ebay. The money raised from these sources goes to pay for items, classes, and services for the Library.
What do we sell? Books and media either donated to the Library, as well as items removed from Library circulation.
